Healing Hands wins NY Emmy Award!
Dr. Coccaro was one of the doctors who was part of Healing Hands, the story of Blanca’s House and the Long Island doctors, nurses and medical support staff that bring small miracles to the impoverished people of Babahoya, Ecuador.
Performing almost 200 surgeries in three days these Long Island doctors fix cleft palettes, remove tumors and help the deaf hear for the first time. All from a small M*A*S*H unit outside a small third world clinic, the doctors of Blanca’s House truly bring life changing miracles to the people of Ecuador.
